SMAC San Marco Art Centre reopens in May 2026.

Getting Here

The main entrance of SMAC San Marco Art Centre is located at Piazza San Marco 105, near the Olivetti store. Look out for the "PROCURATIE" banner on the facade, the main entrance to San Marco Art Centre is located just below it. When looking at the Olivetti store, it is located to the right. Access through the Procuratie Ticket Point. You can purchase tickets at the Procuratie Ticket Point or online.

The museum can be easily reached from the San Marco Vallaresso, San Marco Giardinetti and San Zaccaria vaporetto stops.

SMAC San Marco Art Centre grants free admission to visitors with limited mobility and their care partners.

Staff are available to facilitate the visit.

Wheelchair access is possible through Bacino Orseolo. Please notify the staff at the Procuratie Ticket Point on Piazza San Marco 112 and you will be accompanied there. From the Bacino Orseolo entrance there is a small ramp and an elevator that will bring you to the second floor. Please obtain your ticket from the Procuratie Ticket Point or online before accessing the space.

Visitor Guidelines

SMAC San Marco Art Centre is committed to providing a welcoming, inclusive, and inspiring environment for all. Our team works hard to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for every visitor, and we kindly ask for your cooperation in helping us maintain this atmosphere.

During your visit, please follow all instructions from our staff. San Marco Art Centre has a zero-tolerance policy toward any behavior or language that is abusive, harassing, discriminatory, or threatening. Any actions that may endanger the safety of visitors, staff, artworks, or the building are strictly prohibited.

To protect the artworks and ensure a pleasant experience for everyone, backpacks, large bags, and umbrellas are not permitted in the galleries and must be checked. Lockers are available on the ground floor and second floor for your convenience.

Flash photography is not allowed inside the galleries.

Food and drink are not allowed in the galleries.

We also ask that visitors avoid disruptive behavior, including running, rough play, unauthorized music or video playback, unapproved performances, use of sound amplifiers or noisemakers (except for assistive listening devices), as well as solicitation, distribution of leaflets, signature gathering, picketing, or press events without prior approval.

SMAC San Marco Art Centre reserves the right to refuse or revoke admission to any visitor who does not follow these guidelines.
